A Whole New Kitchen
Scott and Lisa Dreaver were ready for a new family kitchen for themselves and their two children. Based in Glasgow, they were looking for a bright and airy kitchen that would enable them to make full use of their space.
Mulberry Kitchen Design went over the options with the Dreavers, who chose the beautiful Avant white gloss units for their kitchen and drawer fronts – perfect for brightening up this space. The old kitchen was quickly gutted in preparation for the new fittings. Solid and refined, the new units are a rigid build of 18mm colour co-ordinated units, complete with Hettich soft closing doors and drawer fronts as standard, adding a touch of luxury. The units themselves were given a sleek and modern finish with Boss bar 22mm thick handles. A sparkling Black Duropal worktop with matching splashback was chosen as a beautiful contrast against the white units.
To complement the brand new kitchen, new kitchen appliances and accessories were also chosen. Mulberry integrated a beautiful 450mm Hotpoint dishwasher and a Hotpoint 50/50 fridge freezer into the kitchen design. A Hotpoint freestanding washing machine was also included in the overall design.
A shining new Hotpoint four burner gas hob and Hotpoint built in single oven were also included, complete with a glass splashback and black curved cooker hood, offering a sharp contrast against the white units resulting in a modern, monochrome finish. To finish, a Blanco bowl and a half stainless steel sink with a Blanco swift single lever tap complete the look. The kitchen is lit with LED underlights and LED plinth lights, and the entire look is brought together by Pergo black slate flooring which balances the black worktops beautifully.
Mulberry Kitchen Design also painted and plastered the kitchen, offering the Dreaver's a complete service, so their new kitchen was completed from start to finish by the same dedicated team. A job like this may seem expensive, but Mulberry’s quote for the Dreaver's was £5,000 cheaper than their competitors for the exact same products. However, as a family business without large offices, sales people, administration staff and managers, Mulberry certainly saves on costs and passes those savings on to their customers.
